Workshop - August 2011 and August 2012, Muskegon, Michigan
Week long hands on workshop using Camtasia, MathType, Geogebra, Jing, Math Hacks, Leveraging Technology, Web Presence, Teaching Online, Word and PowerPoint Math Tips, HTML, Fluid Math, Tablets and Math to name a few. I returned in August 2013 as a volunteer to help attendees with technology. This gave me the opportunity to learn the latest as well as help colleagues from across the U.S.

Attended sessions on best practices using WebAssign as well as sessions on teaching math in general with my focus on calculus.

OpenEd Leadership Summit 2014 - June 2014,
Portland, Oregon
Met with leaders, administrators, and faculty from across the U.S. to discuss topics in Open Educational Resources. Also met one-on-one with David Lipmann to discuss best practices and logistics for using MyOpenMath in Canvas and in calculus. I came back from this conference committed to developing an OER calculus book to be adopted by our department.

This annual conference focuses on using technology in teaching and learning math. I always come away with excellent teaching tools and ideas. By attending each year I've established a network of math tech colleagues to trade ideas, lessons learned and successes. I also typically present at this conference.
