INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRA TECH ENHANCED


This course incorporates classroom instruction and discussion as well as

reinforcement of concepts, group interaction and individualized instruction in a computer lab. Students alternate between the classroom and computer lab. Students receive conceptual material, theorems, definitions etc. and see

applied examples in the classroom. Then they meet in a computer lab where they work on activities to discover or reinforce aspects about the course material and have the opportunity to get individualized help from the instructor, fellow classmates and computer tutorials.  Course elements:

  • classroom discussion
  • collaborative learning to discover and reinforce concepts
  • students watch videos and/or read over material, make an outline and take a readiness quiz before attending class
  • conceptual material, theorems, definitions etc. and applied examples are discussed in the classroom
  • labs are used for discovery learning and group interaction with the material
  • individualized help from the instructor, fellow classmates and computer tutorials in the lab
  • instant feedback on the online homework with immediate help
  • module review that personalizes an extended review based on objectives not mastered in the module review
  • chance to remediate with a personalized assignment with tutorial help based on the objectives not yet mastered
